The election to determine the 2013-2014 Board of Directors for Mad City Disc Golf will be held from Sunday, September 29th to Saturday, October 5th, 2013. September 29th is the day of the annual Fall Picnic. Any member who attends the picnic and wishes to vote MUST do so at the picnic. Club members who do not attend the picnic may vote at Glide Disc Golf from Monday, September 30th to Saturday, October 5th.
Five of the seven positions on the board are up for election every year. Seth Johnson and Brad Wendt are finishing the first year of their two-year terms as President and Treasurer, respectively, which will end in October 2014. The following positions are up for vote in this year's election:
Vice-President: Two-year term (Oct 2013 - Oct 2015)
Secretary: Two-year term (Oct 2013 - Oct 2015)
3x At-large: All are one-year terms (Oct 2013 - Oct 2014)

You must be a club member to run for and sit on the board, and to vote. The deadline for declaring candidacy for the board is Sunday, September 22nd. You may do so by emailing the club at email@example.com, replying in this thread, or commenting in the appropriate post on the MCDG Facebook page

We encourage interested parties to declare their candidacy as early as possible, and to provide a little information about yourself and why you want to be on the board. Again, if you email / PM us, we will copy the information onto the forum / website / Facebook page for you.
The board typically meets once per month for 2-3 hours, although meetings may be scheduled more frequently when our workload is high (typically in the winter and early spring). We try to find meeting times that can accommodate as many of our board members as possible, and try to rotate the meetings at public locations (mainly libraries) around the area. All meetings are open to the public, and we encourage club members and other interested parties to attend.
If you want to help lead the club and shape the local disc golf scene for the next couple of years, please consider running for a position.
