You must be a club member to run for and sit on the board, and to vote. The deadline for declaring candidacy for the board is Sunday, September 22nd. You may do so by emailing the club at firstname.lastname@example.org, replying in this thread, or commenting in the appropriate post on the MCDG Facebook page
. Please indicate the position you are running for, and make sure to include your real name. We will post the names of candidates on this thread and on the Board Elections
page on our website.
We encourage interested parties to declare their candidacy as early as possible, and to provide a little information about yourself and why you want to be on the board. Again, if you email / PM us, we will copy the information onto the forum / website / Facebook page for you.
The board typically meets once per month for 2-3 hours, although meetings may be scheduled more frequently when our workload is high (typically in the winter and early spring). We try to find meeting times that can accommodate as many of our board members as possible, and try to rotate the meetings at public locations (mainly libraries) around the area. All meetings are open to the public, and we encourage club members and other interested parties to attend.
If you want to help lead the club and shape the local disc golf scene for the next couple of years, please consider running for a position.
